For 25 years, we have been dedicated to enhancing and supporting hospice and end-of-life care. As a compassionate network of volunteer friends, helpers, and companions, we’re here to walk alongside you during this journey.

Programs

Living Legacy

Personal historian, Beth Burns, guides the process by conducting the interviews and coordinating the recording. Beth considers it a honor to help individuals share their journeys and heartfelt messages with loved ones. Interviews can last from fifteen minutes to two hours, per client preference.

Supplemental Massage Therapy

Hospice massage is a soothing, gentle form of physical touch that can bring comfort to those who receive it. Massages are typically performed through clothing and are tailored to the patient’s comfort level, requiring no effort from them. Now offered to patients and their caregivers at no cost.

Hospice Music Volunteers

Music Services are provided in partnership with Threshold Choir. Gentle voices create a peace-filled environment, bringing comfort to those at the thresholds of living and dying. To invite Music Services to the bedside, please contact Friends of Hospice or Threshold Choir.

Community Grief Support Groups

Six-week facilitated support group. Gather with others in a small, supportive setting with care, compassion, and resources to gently explore the journey through grief. Friends of Hospice holds 3 session per year, Pullman and Colfax. Advanced Registration is required, more details can be found online

Advance Care Planning

Advance-care planning is a thoughtful, intentional, and meaningful process. You can reflect upon and discuss what’s important. Especially if faced with a life-limiting illness or life-threatening injury. Program Specific Email: nikki.nolt@friendsofhospice.net
