Supplemental Massage Therapy
Belinda Rhodes has been providing massage for hospice patients since 2011. She uses gentle massage and Bowenwork® techniques to address individual needs. Bowenwork® uses gentle rolling movements to encourage relaxation, it is especially beneficial for people who are uncomfortable with touch or massage. Belinda has been practicing massage therapy since 2008.
As part of the Medicare benefit, massage therapy for patient care and comfort is offered directly through the hospice provider. Supplemental massage therapy is available free to their family caregivers. Funding for this is provided by the Friends of Hospice in Whitman County.
