Programs
SafeKids Program
Whitman County Public Health partners with Pullman Police Department to provides car seats, cribettes, and safe sleep materials for those who meet income guidelines. Along with bicycle helmets to any community member. Visit our SafeKids website to determine eligibility and complete an application. Bicycle helmets do not require an application. Stop by the Colfax or Pullman Whitman County Public Health offices or the Pullman Police Department during normal business hours to pickup supplies. We offer car & booster seat installation services. Please email personalfamilyhealth@whitmancounty.net to schedule a no-cost appointment with one of our Certified Passenger Safety Technicians.
Harm Reduction
Services include safe drug disposal, anonymous 1:1 needle exchange program, syringe and sharps container disposal, overdose prevention and naloxone training to those who qualify. See Whitman County Public Health's Harm Reduction website for more information.
Women, Infant, Children (WIC) Program
Whitman County Public Health offers the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. WIC supports pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum moms, infants, and children under 5 with nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy foods, and health screenings and referrals. Prescreen for eligibility on our website.
