Palliative Care is an extra layer of support for people with chronic or serious illness. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness with a goal to improve quality of life for both the patient and family. Palliative Care is appropriate at any age or stage of a serious or chronic illness and can complement curative treatments.
