Title XIX is a Federal, long term care plan, that provides Nursing Facility Level of Care, for Medicaid and Medicare recipients (or those eligible for Medicaid and Medicare) in their home. There are multiple classifications within Title XIX, such as Community First Choice (CFC) and Medicaid Personal Care (MPC) that help to serve individuals based on their functional needs. There is also a program for helping individuals obtain assistive devices, modifications, and transportation support - similar to what they would receive in a nursing facility. Title XIX is designed for ages 18+, aiming to serve adults with disabilities and the elderly, with prioritization of low-income individuals and families. To apply for Title XIX services, please contact Home and Community Services at (509) 397-5091 or toll-free at (800) 459-0421.
