About:

Living independently in one of the cottages, or a one-bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom apartment at Bishop Place Senior Living allows you to maintain a sense of home and have all of the services of a senior living community just a step away.

If there comes a time when your mom or dad needs more help to get through their day, Bishop Place Senior Living’s assisted living care services can help. In addition to the usual meals, activities, and maintenance, your mom or dad can also get any combination of support services like medication management, help with bathing and dressing and incontinence management.

If you’re caring for a mother, father, husband, or wife with memory loss, you’ve probably noticed that their personality changes day to day, hour to hour, or even minute to minute. We don’t believe in “good days” or “bad days” when it comes to caring for those with memory loss. Our In the Moment® Memory Support program focuses on meeting a person where they are intellectually and emotionally at each point throughout the day.

We will get to know their likes, dislikes, and favorite hobbies, just by spending time with them. We won’t just make sure your mom eats three meals a day, we’ll sit with her, encourage her, and make sure she’s comfortable enough to eat what she wants, when she wants it. And if your dad would rather sit outside on the back porch instead of join in the scheduled afternoon activity, well that’s fine too. At Bishop Place Senior Living, no two days are identical, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

For a lot of caregivers, taking care of their mom and dad is a full-time job. The idea of going out of town for a weekend or an unexpected short-term change in care needs, like doctor’s orders after being discharged from the hospital, are serious stressors for caregivers who already feel worn thin. If you’re a caregiver who needs some extra help for a few weeks or days, respite care might be the perfect fit. Respite care provides the peace of mind of on-site care staff, prepared meals, and enrichment opportunities, without the long-term commitment.
