Since its inception over 35 years ago, ATVP has grown from a grassroots organization providing volunteer-supported services, adding a few part-time staff, then with safe homes followed by a small shelter, to a community-based organization with paid professional staff and a 15-bed shelter. ATVP is committed to an empowerment model, offering clients the opportunity to consider a wide range of options as the individual needs and circumstances dictate and a safe, supportive environment in which to reach decisions.
